I am currently looking for an Engineering Manager to join a fast-growing company in the motor insurance sector, where technology and data play a key role in the development of the business.
This is an opportunity for an experienced engineering leader who combines a strong technical background with proven people management skills and the ability to translate business needs into scalable and reliable technology solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and drive the technical roadmap in line with business priorities.
- Lead architectural decisions, ensuring scalability, reliability, maintainability and security.
- Lead and support engineering teams in the delivery of high-impact initiatives.
- Mentor engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical development.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and external partners.
- Translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions.
- Improve team processes and ways of working according to business and technical needs.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role.
- Strong experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
- Experience working with customer-facing systems.
- Strong technical and architectural decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work with non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience leading initiatives from inception through successful delivery.
