Our client is a small, privately owned dry bulk shipping operator specialising in the commercial management and chartering of dry bulk vessels. The business operates with a lean, highly commercial team and is entering its next phase of development. Your Role: This is a newly created role (no direct reports) working directly with the Founder to improve organisational effectiveness, accountability, performance and continuity. The focus is on the organisation itself — its structure, people and performance. What you will own: • Assess organisational structure, roles, responsibilities and ways of working. • Improve accountability, performance and management effectiveness. • Identify capability gaps and key-person dependencies. • Lead or support restructuring, difficult people decisions and critical hires. • Strengthen succession and organisational continuity. • Act as a trusted thought partner to the Founder on people and organisational matters. Your Profile: • Strong experience in HR Business Partnering, People, Organisational Effectiveness, OD or transformation. • Proven experience personally implementing organisational change. • Experience handling underperformance, restructuring and employee exits. • Experience working directly with Founders, CEOs or senior business leaders. • Comfortable operating without a large HR team or infrastructure. • Strong judgement, communication and execution. What this role is not: • Payroll or HR administration. • Primarily a recruitment position. • A role focused on policies, procedures, or HR programmes for their own sake. • A corporate HR leadership role where execution is delegated to a large team. • An internal consulting position where recommendations are handed over to somebody else to implement.

This is a critical role for an Engineering professional combining technical expertise, operational excellence, customer focus, and team management. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving service performance, optimizing processes, managing technical teams and service partners, and ensuring an excellent after-sales experience across Greece and selected international markets.
