WHO WE ARE

About Us

Bobby Carnathan joined the Antal Network as a Managing Partner in London. He is an accomplished executive who is experienced in hedge funds, private equity, venture capital and derivatives (equity, FX, credit). He is an expert business developer. After a career in financial services that includes New York, San Francisco and London, he will be focusing his recruitment business on sustainable, responsible and impact investing related roles.    

A belief that market solutions will offer the best path forward to the various environmental, social and governance issues facing the planet guides this project. We want to put good people where they can have the most impact and, in doing so, have at least an indirect impact on the world. 

An American in London for more than 20 years, he has never lost his accent and has built bridges between the two countries separated by a common language. He is uniquely suited to help US and UK companies with staffing needs internationally.

Job Purpose The Electrical Technician is responsible for performing electrical maintenance activities on both safety-related and non-safety-related Systems, Structures, and Components (SSCs) to ensure optimal plant performance, high equipment reliability, and safe operation. The role includes executing preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, and surveillance testing activities. The technician also supports plant operational readiness while ensuring full compliance with applicable safety standards, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Electrical Maintenance Activities The Electrical Technician is required to carry out electrical maintenance activities in a safe, timely, and high-quality manner, ensuring continuous operational readiness of plant systems. This includes executing planned, corrective, and surveillance maintenance on a wide range of electrical systems and components. The role involves maintenance and inspection of systems associated with nuclear steam supply and balance of plant operations. This includes motors, motor generator sets, reactor coolant pump motors, motor-operated valves, crane systems, lighting systems, power transformers, gas insulated bus systems, switchgear assemblies, protective relays, diesel generator sets, and uninterrupted power supply systems. Technical Maintenance and Testing The technician is responsible for performing detailed inspection and maintenance activities on transformers, including components such as LCPs, neutral grounding resistors, dissolved gas analysis systems, and on-load tap changers. The role also includes performing electrical testing such as Tan Delta testing, insulation resistance testing, winding resistance testing, and transformer turn ratio testing. In addition, the technician conducts mechanical protection device inspections and testing, including PRV, SPR, WTI, and OTI devices. The role requires executing functional tests, alarm tests, and periodic maintenance tests using approved testing procedures and equipment.
