1. Principal Accountability

  • Lead PDT meetings & ensure to meet the program milestones.
  • Drive supplier improvement activities for India suppliers.
  • Lead Supplier Tech Reviews with suppliers for new parts development.
  • Conduct SCA audit for new suppliers & ensure suppliers are meeting company requirements.
  • Ensure Supplier Development processes are followed as per the PDP requirements.
  • Support supplier(s) on the understanding of the Supplier Requirements Manual (SRM) and Pre-Sourcing Meetings, facilitate the Technical Reviews and support quality requirements.
  • Support Project Management – Focus EARLY on New Program Launch issues, from BOM until +90 days SOP, ensuring new Suppliers understand SRM, APQP, PPAP requirement and pre-launch control plan.
  • As necessary, coordinate with Suppliers the Production Part Approval Process & perform reviews.
  • Perform Part And Process Audits (PAPA) and action plan follow-up, with capacity analysis & R@Rate.
  • Support in solving the supplier related plant quality issues.
  • Drive supplier upgradation and improvement activities, particularly for critical suppliers identified through supplier quality assessments.
  • Work closely with suppliers to identify process gaps and support sustainable improvement in quality, process capability and supplier performance.
  • Hands-on experience in Electro Mechanical Parts, with strong expertise in Sheet Metal.

2. Education / Experience

  • BE / B.Tech. Preference in Mechanical Engineering with similar product line experience.
  • 9–14 years of total experience, with 7–8 years of relevant experience in Supplier Development / Supplier Quality / similar technical functions.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Sheet Metal is required.
  • Strong technical background in Supplier Development rather than a primarily commercial/vendor-management role.
  • Good understanding of APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA and supplier quality processes.
  • Experience in supplier improvement, supplier upgradation and handling critical suppliers will be preferred.
  • Experience with Tier-1 automotive / automotive component organizations will be preferred.

Role Details

  • Technical Supplier Development role with focus on supplier capability enhancement and supplier upgradation (only SQA knowledge will not work).
  • Role involves supplier interaction, technical reviews, audits and supplier visits.
  • Transportation and canteen facilities available.
